Even though there is usually only a fraction of a percent separating them from their competition, this minute amount results in the one-upmanship typical of this industry.
Other transportation industries such as railroads and truck lines also rely on fibre test equipment to make sure that when hauling dangerous or environmentally hazardous materials that they make it to their destinations without causing an environmental disaster or even worse causing harm to people. All of these factors are taken into consideration when things such as fibre test equipment are used in conjunction with other safety and environmental methods to make sure that industry, governmental and technical standard are followed and met.
